Health care is too expensive, too slow, and too burdensome. As a medical doctor, I know about many of the problems which ail the US health care system.
Health care plans are kept artificially expensive through limiting competition to within states, preventing fair competition on plans across state lines. I will support allowing people to purchase plans wherever they find the best deal, lowering the cost of health insurance.
In addition, I support medical malpractice reform to reduce fraudulent lawsuits which drastically raise the cost of providing medical care in this country.
I support allowing people to set aside some of their income into savings accounts to keep tax-free money for use in case of a medical emergency.
